Zombie Apocalypse 2: Electric Boogaloo

Quinn thinks for a minute. "Well, does it have brown, or grey, or white?" His face suddenly lights up. "You could name it chocolate!"

Missy: I like chocolate...

Zack: hey Rachel... Iv been wondering somthing..

Quinn laughs. "Chocolate it is! Only, I suggest you don't try to taste your cat, it won't taste anything like it." He smiles.

Rachel looks up. "Yes?"

Zack: *looks at missy* uhm... Do you think we could talk a little more privately?

Missy: I wouldn't taste the cat... Cats don't taste good and this one is my friend...

Rachel cocks her head. "Um...sure." She turns to Missy. "Missy I'm going to go talk to Zack. I won't go far, stay here with Quinn."

Quinn smiles. "Don't worry, we'll occupy ourselves by talking about Chocolate."

Rachel looks confused but shrugs and goes with Zack.

Missy: chocolate is still pretty tiny...

Zack: hey I've been wondering about missy... Is she related to you?

((*calls out into the oblivion* MIS!? Nik? Anyone?))

MIS: *takes nik to the lab so she can cure him*

((Uuuh can you do that?))

Scout: *follows*

((Idk... But I just did...))

MIA: *arrives at the lab and they enter... They hold nik and wait for their orders*

Quinn holds his hands in relation to how small he thinks Chocolate is. "This small?" His hands are farther apart than Chocolate's size.

Rachel sighs. "I was wondering when you would ask. Well, no, we're not related. I meet her while we were on our way to D.C. She was terrified and starving, but the people thought she was a threat, I guess she attacked them, so they tied her up. She's never had a real childhood and was abused by her caretaker. That's why she isn't very trusting. I was able to earn her trust and she stayed with me. We were separated and she got to D.C. before I did. I figured she'd go there so I continued by myself. I found her here and, well, now I've...I've adopted her. She has no one else and that locket is the only thing she has left of her real parents. That's why I need to get it back."

Missy: tinier...

Zack: wow... That's rough... What happened to her before? Do you know?

Quinn moves his hands closer together so it's almost exactly the size of the kitten. "Now?"

Rachel shakes her head. "I'm not sure, but I think both her parents died somehow. Maybe by Zombies."

Missy: *nods* she is pretty... Her bones stick out like mine did... My bones don't stick out as much now... Just a little...

Zack: poor kid... I wonder how she was able to survive...

Quinn smiles sympathetically. "Well, maybe we can bring her some food. Let's see...what do cats eat?" He rubs his chin, trying to think if there was anything in the store that a cat would like. "Most cats like tuna fish. Guess we could find some o' that."

Missy: cats like mice and other meat too... I don't like mice... They taste funny... *wrinkles up her nose*

Zack: I'll do my best to help you both... I'm sorry for everything that has happened to you both... I know it's rough out there... *he shifts his arm and she can see the scar from the zombie bite*

Scout: *waits for the MIS to start the procedure*

Quinn gets an odd look on his face. "Uh...yeah, they don't taste too good."

Rachel looks shocked. "We're you infected?"

Zack: *glances down at his arm* oh... This... Yah... I was when I got here but the virus hadn't shut down my brain yet so they were able to cure me...

Missy: I don't really like pork either... It tastes too much like people... *looks a bit sad then glances up and smiles* I like fish tho... They aren't cute like other animals... They are easier to kill... *she speaks as if this is a normal everyday topic that any child would talk about*

Rachel shakes her head in awe. "Wow, you were lucky."

Quinn feels uncomfortable. He wishes Rachel would come back. He likes Missy but this topic is disturbing him. "Uhh...do you want to go get some food for Chocolate? We can get some stuff, maybe, to make a toy for her to play with so she's not bored when you're gone."

Missy: *nods* that would be nice...

Zack: yes... But I was horrified at the conditions in some areas here... Have you been inside the building where the zombies and infected are kept until either cured or killed?

Rachel shakes her head. "I've tried to avoid that area." Her hatred of zombies shows in her expression.

Quinn looks over his shoulder. He sees Rachel talking to Zack a little ways away and calls out to her. "Hey Rachel, I'm gonna take Missy to get some food for Chocolate. I'll bring her back to the store later."

Rachel turns to him and nods. "Ok...wait...who's Chocolate?"

Quinn laughs. "The kitten."

Rachel smiles. "Oh, ok. Have fun. I'll see you later." She turns back to face Zack.

Zack: you really don't like them do you?

Missy: *follows* where are we going?
