Zombie Apocalypse 2: Electric Boogaloo

~time laps till morning?~

Quinn returns to the room after checking on Rachel and Missy. He sits on his bed as a voice says through the speakers, "Curfew. Everyone return to your rooms."

Quinn mumbles under his breath about the annoyance of curfews and speakers and zombies and basically everything that is an inconvenience. He removes his boots and runs his hand through his thick, wavy brown hair. "It'll be nice having you work for me. I only have Benny and he's lazy. I'll have to take Rachel to some shops tomorrow so Benny'll have to tell you how to do things. Well, 'night."

((Now time lapse.))

Zack: night

~morning~

Zack: *gets up and heads to the building*

Missy: *sound asleep with the kitten purring beside her*

Quinn is at the store, instructing Benny to be responsible and to help Zack.

Rachel wakes and sits up. She smiles when she sees the kitten curled up next to Missy. (Just what she needs.) She walks over to the bed and gently shakes Missy. "Time to get up."

Missy: *mumbles groggily and mumbles in her mostly asleep state* m...momma? *her eyes slowly and groggily open*

Zack: *looks around and reads the descriptions of different tools and objects to learn what they are used for and how they are used...*

Rachel smiles. "C'mon, let's go wash up. I need to get a job today. You'll have to leave the kitten here though."

Quinn leaves. Benny quickly explains to Zack how to bargain with the customers and how some of the merchandise comes in with new people. When they do, he should organize them with the tools or parts that are the same or have similar qualities.

Zack: *starts his job... He notices some of the products are incorrectly placed... He starts fixing the problem*


Missy: *nods... She gets up and gets dressed*

A few people come in and start looking at tools.

Rachel gets dressed. They leave and meet up with Quinn.

Quinn smiles as they reach him. "Hey! I thought we'd start at the grocery."

Rachel nods. "Sounds good to me." She follows Quinn, holding onto Missy's hand.

Scout: *runs to Nik* We did it! We found a cure!

Missy: *stays mostly calm until a few people bump into her and she nearly jumps... She refrains and simply breathes quickly, holds Rachel's hand tighter, and looks frightened*

Zack: *goes over to the customers he smiles welcomingly* hello sirs and madams... How may I help you? Is there something in particular you are looking for?

Rachel looks down at Missy. "It's alright were almost there." She spots Quinn and makes her way to him.

Quinn sees them and waves. "C'mon, the shop isn't too far away." He leads them to a grocery store.

Some of the customers snicker when Zack calls them sirs and madams. Others look at him like he's crazy.

Zack: is there a problem?

Missy: hi...

Benny walks up to Zack. "There just ordinary people. Ya don't gotta be that polite."

Quinn holds the door open to let them pass. "Hey, Sarah!" A small young woman standing behind the counter looks up. "Hi Quinn." She smiles.

Rachel looks around. There's plenty of food in the store. There's a few people rummaging for some ingredients.

Quinn takes Rachel's arm and guides her to the counter. "This is Sarah. She keeps track of the items and everything."

Rachel smiles. "Hi."

*Yadda yards yadda they discuss all the necessary things for work. Rachel decides to look at other options since the pay isn't very good*

Zack: what makes ordinary people worh less respect? They are still customers no matter their status... And deserve respect... *turns back to the customers* if there is anything you need or would like feel free to ask.

Missy: *follow*

Benny shrugs and walks away.

Quinn takes them to a few more stores. Rachel chooses to work at the clothing store and immediately becomes friends with one of the girls that works there.
