Zones (Apocalyptic Roleplay)

Carissa: *smiles* ah... *she leads him down to where she met spard then goes into the hidden entrance... The small hidden cave has a hole in the back wall that is tight but manageable* it's a little tight going through... I'll go first and cover you just in case... I know the ropes there...

Pyre: *smiles* You don't have to worry about me

Carissa: still... *she smiles then goes over to the tight opening... She lies down and starts through*

Pyre: *follows her*

Carissa: *as soon as she enters she rolls and throws a knife at the first presence she senses... They gurgle and fall and they seem to swarm towards them...*

Pyre: *crouches defensively and dodges a projectile*

Carissa: *suddenly spins throwing a knife at seemingly nothing... A mutated and foul looking beast appears as her knife sinks into it... It screeches and claws at itself before falling dead... She jumps up onto the wall and then ceiling before stabbing her wall crawling opponent...*

Pyre: *yatta yatta, snapping necks, yatta*

*finally they begin scampering away... There is a lot of fresh blood and old blood as well as bones and bodies near the entrance...*

Carissa: *smiles and walks around checking the bodies for weapons or tech...*

Pyre: *eyes the blood with an unamused face, the rush could be useful but he wouldn't be able to sleep*

Carissa: *notes his expression* it's fine... Go ahead if you want unless it will bother you... *she finishes checking the bodies... She has procured a blade and a lock pick..*

Pyre: I'm not sure if I- *he looks at Carissa, remembering how he was at her mercy before, he looks away awkwardly*

Carissa: if you'd like I promise I'll be good...

Pyre: *he can't suppress a chuckle* It's me I'm worried about *he sighs then crouches over a body, they don't smell too mutated*

Carissa: *smiles then cleans the blade while observing curiously*

Pyre: *hesitates* You may not want to watch *he slips a knife from his belt*

Carissa: I've seen worse...

Pyre: *sighs and slits the guy's wrist, vibrant, red blood drips out, Pyre crouches and begins drinking it*

Carissa: *waits for him to finish and notes the change in him as he drinks*

Pyre: *forces himself to stop at two pints, his muscles flex and he stretches his neck. He wipes the blood from his face and stands, his already perfect posture seems more fierce. He turns to looks at her, then forces himself to look away. He swallows* Uh-lead the way...

Carissa: *nods and smiles... She leads the way down a maze of tunnels until a certain point where she pauses... She hesitates looking alert*

Pyre: *copies her movements*

Carissa: *hesitates... She senses the rats presence and they are shifting... She looks back the way they came... She suddenly takes off at a sprint... Her eyes are intent and she focuses on the rats presences*

Pyre: *follows her*

Carissa: *she suddenly turns down a smaller side tunnel that weaves back and forth... Finally she enters an expansive room... She stops and whistles*

*children start scrambling from the walls and large groups of oddly mutated people who help protect the children appear*
