Zones (Apocalyptic Roleplay)

Carissa: *takes it as she enters... She looks around automatically sizing everyone up*

*most people are harmless supporters, common citizens*

Carissa: *speaks softly and unintentionally shifts closer to him... She curls her fingers more around his arm* for what purpose are we here?

*most of the people look tired, but they have a strange aura about them, as if they have a fire within, fueled by hope*

Pyre: *notes her discomfort and places his arm around her back, he smiles and speaks calmly* This is the nearest center. This is a place you can always come to for help or shelter or medicine. This is a haven.

Carissa: I see... *she smiles at him and seems to relax slightly* are we here to meet someone?

Pyre: *shakes his head* Any sort of headquarters is farther away and better hidden. This is the closest shelter and is a good example of what the majority of the resistance is

*a few children sit on the side, no adults tend to them, they are obviously orphans. But they look well fed and healthy, they smile and laugh amongst each other*

Carissa: *she gets an odd expression on her face when she sees the children and she looks away... She seems uncomfortable when she sees them.... One child nearly runs into her and she shifts more towards pyre*

*the child instead runs into Pyre* Oh! Sorry mister.... Hey, weren't you here before?

Pyre: *chuckles and nods, he squats down and gets on the boy's level* Yup! And I kept my promise too *he reaches into his coat and holds out several small, odd looking guns, all have a certain "Qwyn flair" to them*

*the boy excitedly picks one up and pulls the trigger, it shoots out a stream of water and the boy squeals with laughter*

Carissa: *recognizes the style but doesn't mention it... She doesn't look at the child...*

((So now I'm developing her back story))

Pyre: *tosses the rest to the other kids and chuckles as they play, he looks to Carissa and continues leading her down the tunnel room*

Carissa: pyre.. I... *she sees a small child with its mother and father and she quickly averts her gaze*

Pyre: *shifts a bit closer to make her feel safe and comfortable, his voice is soft* What is it?

Carissa: *shakes her head and seems bothered when she sees the children... Especially the ones with their parents* never mind I..it's nothing... *looks down*

Pyre: *doesn't pry*

((Yea, he's got a backstory alright.))

Carissa: uhm... Is there anything else you need to show me here? *is still close to him... She normally doesn't feel vulnerable or dependent and she doesn't like feeling that now...* I'm not exactly... Comfortable here...

Pyre: Um, I was going to show you a room you can stay in...

Carissa: oh uhm... Ok... *looks surprised*

Spard: *is still waiting for Carissa, since she has not come yet, he goes out to look for her*

((He won't be able to find her yet... She didn't come because it was sundown and she had to take shelter for the night... Soon she will be heading back... Oh and when she arrives back spard might be mad because she has been beaten and her arms are bruised where she was held while beaten... He won't know until she shifts the sleeves of her jacket or takes off her jacket))

Carissa: *looks around* I need to go pyre... I'll be back tonight... *she looks towards the door*

((Why would he take off her coat or move her sleeves?))

((.... I meant he would notice when she takes her coat off))

Carissa: *heads out the door and down the tunnels... She is nearing spard's position*

Neko waves to the passing by Carissa before continuing down the tunnels.

Carissa: *smiles and waves back as she passes*

Spard: *is waiting in the shadows*

Spard: *sees Carissa and smiles*
