Zones (Apocalyptic Roleplay)

Pyre: *lightly grabs her arm* Carissa, please.

Carissa: *yelps and jerks away looking as if she is about to cry...*

Pyre: *his eyes widen in shock* I-I barely touched you! Carissa! *he holds out his hand for her arm*

Carissa: *very cautiously hands him her arm... She looks away... Her hand is shaking and she allows him to shift the sleeve of her jacket*

Pyre: *gently pulls up the sleeve*

Carissa: *her wrist and arm has black and blue finger marks and in a few places the skin is slightly torn... When she had refused to oblige him her company he had her held and beaten severely then thrown out but she had gotten information before she was beaten...*

Pyre: *his voice is deadly and actually terrifying* I'll kill him

Carissa: *she shivers slightly at his tone* it's alright pyre... Like you said... It's too dangerous... I'm fine really... I'll heal...

Pyre: *he gently cradles her arm in his hand and he stares blankly forward, deep in thought. His gaze is dark, as if contemplating the most painful way a person could die*

Carissa: pyre please... *she looks at his face*

Pyre: I am a patient man. I do not know where or when I will find this man but when I do- *his voice is like death, his gaze dark and deadly*

Carissa: *reaches up and gently pulls his face towards her... She makes eye contact* pyre... There is no need... I am ok..

Pyre: *remains silent, his gaze says firmly that nothing she can say will change his mind*

Carissa: pyre I knew that he would do something like this... I could have refused to go... I realize what I say doesn't matter... But I do prefer you alive... And I'd like for you to remain this way...

Pyre: I have my ways...

Carissa: *she sighs* well since I'm losing this battle... You were going to show me the ropes were you not? *removes her hand from his face but hasn't noticed that he is still cradling her arm*

Pyre: *gently lowers her arm and looks up, he nods* Follow me

Carissa: *nods and follows...*

Pyre: *leads her down several tunnels, they seem to be leading nowhere*

Carissa: where exactly are we going?

Pyre: A center for the resistance. It's well hidden *they arrive at a steel door with a sliding hatch*

Carissa: *tenses slightly... She doesn't like going into such secure locations... She stands a bit back and waits*

*the hatch slides open and Pyre whispers something, the door opens. Pyre walks inside*

Carissa: *pauses looking wary... She shifts forward towards the door cautiously and tries to sense how many people are inside the room*

*not many people are at the entrance*

Pyre: *heads inside and offers her his arm*
