The Divide 3

Daria: *she slowly slips out of the tent*

((She won't realize it is the knife being removed... She is used to people wanting to kill her but she wonders why he does but seems to not be able to))

Col's hand unfurls, revealing the handle. It falls to the floor, causing sudden pain to him. He collapses to the ground screaming.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH!"
He holds his hand to his head, reaching out to his knife uselessly.

Daria: *freezes in place... She looks back wanting to help him but also terrified*

"MY KNIIIIIIIIFE!!!!!! I NEED IT!"
He moves closer slowly, the tips of his fingers almost to it.

Daria: *enters the tent looking frightened... She slowly shifts towards him then pushes the knife to him and rushes back out of the tent...*

Col grabs the knife, coddling it in his arms.
"sweet knife... good knife... yes.... yes.... going back to a safe place..."
Col grabs his sheath and shirt, putting them both back on before putting the knife back on the sheath.

Daria: *knows there is no use in running anywhere... She goes into the other tent and sits by the water... She buries her head in her hands and cries quietly*

Col gets up and goes to the potions, taking the yellow happiness potion and putting it in his pocket. He walks out of the tent and goes into the other tent with Daria, holding out the happiness potion to her.
"Sorry..."

Daria: *flinches when she hears him and jerks away from him looking terrified* p...please don't hurt me! *she is trembling all over*

Col puts the potion next to her and moves back.
"I... I saved you......"

Daria: *looks confused* I.. I don't understand...

Col looks down.
"I... I made sure you didn't get stabbed..."

Daria: th...then you weren't trying to kill me? You weren't angry?

Col shakes his head.
"N-no..."

Daria: *looks confused and frightened still... She looks down still trembling...* c...col?

Col looks up to her.
"Yes?"

Daria: w..would you be mad if I wanted a hug? I... I don't want to upset you or make you mad...

Col shakes his head.
"No.... I wouldn't be mad...."

Daria: well... I ... I do kinda want a hug...

Col hugs her tightly.
