Victus grunts.
"It's... Fine. Just cut myself on the machine is all."
He shakes his hand.

((Was that regular speech or shadow speech? How long will it take for him to hear stuff? Does his shadow only translate or can it talk to him now? Cuz I think it should be able to talk to him))

(( Regular, a few seconds after it's said, it can translate and has basic speech functions, though it doesn't quite have a "personality" yet. That.needs to be developed.))

((So it will eventually have a personality?))

Zeb: *looks slightly dazed* huh?.. Oh... Uh...... *shifts*...yah.. *the wind blows outside and the trees shift letting in rays of light... He cringes at the light and shields his eyes, groaning slightly*

Avet: *blinks* Do you have a hangover???

Diem: *his eyes get big and he squeals then practically jumps on v hugging him*

Zeb: uh... Not exactly.... I mean... *he sits down a pot and it makes a loud noise... he groans and sits down... *

Avet: Well, what is it?

Zeb: ok.. I kind of do... But not because I drank... *he puts his head in his hands*

Avet: Then, why???

Victus: "Woah there kid!"
Victus hugs Diem.
Victus: "Now... I need to tell you something... I... Have to leave here."

Diem: *sudden shock crosses his face and he pulls away staring at v a moment before bursting into tears... He looks up at v as the tears run down his sill bruised cheeks and he starts shivering*

Zeb: I... Uh.... Kinda slightly overdosed on sleeping pills... *the word "slightly" doesn't sound convincing... He sighs*

Avet: *looks a bit shocked* Oh... um. Are you sick?

Zeb: I'll be fine. *he looks tired and he shifts groggily... His voice sounds a mixture of exhaustion and sadness*

Victus: "I'm sorry Diem... I just can't stay here... It would put too many people in danger."

Diem: *diem shakes his head* no! *he takes a step back and continues to shake his head tears streaming down his face*

Nymph: *looks scared* You can't leave him!
Avet: Well, is there anything I can do? *she looks sad, feeling slightly guilty for a reason she doesn't know* Want me to make you tea?

Diem:*He continues stepping away his eyes big and scared* you aren't leaving... Your staying... You wouldn't leave me.... You won't do what my daddy did... You wouldn't... * he sounds like he is trying to convince himself.... His voice gets more and more frantic and his breathing starts to speed up to the point where he is nearly hyperventilating*
((The daddy comment should get nymphs attention... She doesn't know about the father thing..))

Zeb: no... That won't really help.. *his voice hints at something from the past... His head still in his hands he sounds a touch heartbroken*

((He didn't tell her she could help because she doesn't remember him and he knows it wouldn't be appropriate to ask to sleep with her so he can actually sleep))

Nymph: Daddy? *her eyes widen* What are you talking about, D?
Avet: *notes the sadness* What is it? *she sits beside him and places her hand on his shoulder, not knowing why she feels so comfortable*

Diem: *starts shaking all over* you can't do this to me! *he sounds nearly incoherent as he sobs and yells* YOU'RE ALL ALIKE YOU PRETEND YOU CARE ABOUT ME AND THEN YOU ABANDON ME...FINE!!! YOU MUST HAVE GOT WHAT YOU WANTED AND YOU DONT NEED ME ANYMORE!! IF IM SO WORTHLESS JUST LEAVE ME!!! *he turns and runs blindly down the hall to his room... He goes in the corner and squeezes his teddy bear closing his eyes and curling into the fetal position... Between his sobs he speaks to his teddy bear* do you hate me too?

Zeb: i..it's kills me avet... *there is a heartbroken agony in his eyes as he looks at her and then he looks down regretting that he said anything* listen... Just forget I said that... It doesn't matter... I shouldn't have said that... *he shakes his head and his shoulders slump slightly*

((I consider sleeping in the same bed as a person, sleeping "with them" in the same bed...))

Victus: "Gotten what I wanted? I got NOTHING from all of this! AND HE GOT A LITERAL PIECE OF MY SOUL! [REDACTED] THIS!"
Victus storms off.

((Yah... Diem reacted badly but he has been abandoned by so many people who usually hurt him or use him before they abandon him that he assumes he was just a pawn or something that v didn't actually care about... Also... Five year olds usually don't rationalize well...))

Avet: Uh-I...I'm sorry *she looks down* I don't want anyone to hurt, I just-*her eyes look distant for a moment as she remembers the many things that she had written in her notes about Zeb. His integrity, generosity, his kindness... She sees how good he is as a person and knows that she could easily love him. She is afraid to trust, but she trusts him. She is beginning to care about him again, and she doesn't want to see him hurt. She acts quickly and blindly, she leans towards him suddenly and kisses him, placing her hand delicately on his face while the other rests on his back*

Nymph: *screams at V as he leaves* WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?! *she rushes to Diem's room and sits outside the door, afraid to enter*
