The Restaurant at the End of the Universe

Ora: ahh yes I remember now... Oh! How rude of me... It completely slipped my mind... Astria this is squeekums, squeekums this is Astria.

Astria: It is a pleasure to meet you little friend! *she smiles warmly*

Squeakums: *grins* Hewwo! Nice to meetcha too! *she holds out a tiny paw, beady eyes glimmering*

Astria: *shakes the small paw gently and smiles*

Squeakums: I've never seen such a shiny being before. *tentatively steps onto Astria's hand*

ora: *smiles warmly*

Astria: *smiles kindly* Oh you should have seen me in my time *her eyes look old as she cups her palm under the furry critter*

((Btw to the mouse it would seem like floating on a pale light))

Squeakums: *squeals in amazement as she pushes a paw down into the pale light "hand"* It's like I'm floating!! I truly wish I could have seen you in your time *her eyes turn back to Astria's, a smile causing her whiskers to twitch*

Astria: *as the critter presses her hand, small specks of light float up* Oh my, in those days I brought light and life to two twin systems *she smiles, her eyes remembering*

Squeakums: Twin systems? *ears prick up curiously*

Astria: Solar systems *she smiles* I believe that is what your kind call them

Squeakums: *eyes widen* WOAH! really?!! How?! *seems stupefied*

Astria:*smiles and points to the view of the crumbling universe* See that star? The pale orange one near the comet? *her eyes soften* That's my great granddaughter...

Squeakums: *filled with wonder at this being* Really?! *stares up at Astria after getting a good look at the star* Is she as nice as you?

Astria: *smiles, her eyes sad* I have not met her. But I am sure she is wonderful. *she looks down* I can not speak to her untill her job is done. It won't be long now *a smile ghosts across her lips*

Squeakums: *brow furrows suddenly* Oh.. *pats Astria's hand sympathetically* I'm sorry.

Astria: It's all well *she brightens slightly (literally)* I have many children

Squeakums: Are they all out there?

ora: and what must they do to become free to move and live as you do?

Astria: Yes. And they become like me after what is called the "Death of a Star"

Ora: ah.. I see

Astria: It can be a sad thing.... But many times stars can be reborn.

Ora: but even in their death they continue to live if only in another form.. Is it not true?

Astria: As true as I stand here before you now
